Shi-Art Chinese Cuisine: Reviews & Ratings
This dim sum restaurant is located inside Richmond Center which is very convenient by transit and easy to find parking. Service was nice and fast for a quick lunch. The steamed dim sum dishes were average. Steamed Abalone on Rice and Shredded Chicken with Sesame were very bland. Soy Sauce Chicken was alright. But the deep fried smelt with spicy salt (though not spicy) was tasty and crispy! Surely there are better dim sum restaurants in Richmond, but I’d prefer not to wait half an hour for seating and wait another half an hour for the food to be served as there’s a line of orders. I’ll definitely come back to this restaurant to try other non-steamed dishes.
I heard this was under new ownership with a new chef as well. Tried a Peking duck dinner set with the family and it was good value. Food came quickly with nice mild Cantonese flavours. I feel the normal dishes were prepared better than the Peking duck. Other tables around us were trying the other sets options with crab. I would come back to try the other dishes in the menu in the future.
The food here is flavourful, but also not overly salty or sweet, which is really nice. Everything we ordered were flavourful and the staff were all efficient and generous. It seemed like they did not have enough staff, though, so sometimes it was difficult trying to get their attention. Parking and the location are also very convenient!
Food and service have improved a lot since the last time we had dinner there (a year or two ago). It's good that their foods are less salty than many other restaurants. An enjoyable tasty dinner tonight. Plenty of parking. Convenient location.
The food quality is not very impressive. Roasted duck 2 courses for less than $80 is a good deal though. Even with the recent promotion, there are a lot more better choices in Richmond.
Traditional dim sum and Cantonese restaurant. Delicious. Highly recommended for Canto enthusiasts. But not for those who are looking for quiet convos.
I liked the variety of Audi Isa and fish. The food is very fresh and tasty. Choose the menu yourself. The staff quickly serves and responds to requests. The atmosphere is a little noisy, there are separate tables for a large group and small tables. Parking is provided for a large number of cars. I recommend visiting this place. and be sure to reserve a table in advance for any event.
Haven’t been back for the longest time, like 6-7 years. Food was better than I remembered. Chiu Chou dumplings were good, I asked one of the staff and confirmed that they made them at the restaurant, and they taste like it too. Great dish Turnip cakes were good, big turnip chunks, add texture to the dish. Spring rolls were crispy, lots of shrimps, love it. The other dishes were good too. I will go back for sure
